Our first-ever fundraising campaign wrapped on December 31, and we are excited to report that it was a wonderful success! We set the goal high and our Almond Acres family stepped up with generous gifts. By the end of the year, $67,900 was raised to fund the purchase of playground equipment for our new campus. We are currently designing the playground, and hope to start installation this spring. Some of that money will also be used to purchase much-needed recreation equipment for the gym and play field, to decorate our new courtyard, and more. Thank you to all the donors who participated – your gifts really make a difference!
If you are interested in participating in the Completing Our Campus campaign, we still have some items that need to be funded. Click here to learn more about the projects on our wish list, and to make a fully tax-deductible gift. Every gift counts, in any amount! Thank you for being a part of the Almond Acres family!
About AACA
Almond Acres Charter Academy is a public, tuition-free K-8 school that employs credentialed teachers and administers state-mandated testing to provide families in northern SLO County an additional choice in public education. Located in Paso Robles in a newly built, state-of-the-art facility, AACA is open to all students from all communities. AACA’s mission is to help students succeed academically and socially by educating the whole child: heart, mind, body and soul. We grow great kids!
“During this time of year, it’s easy to say that there’s more happiness in giving than receiving. (Yet) genuine giving, where you expect nothing in return, is a two-way street because it nurtures humility and promotes gratitude. There’s a Proverb that says, ‘do not withhold good…if it happens to be within the power of your hand to help’.”

The Season of Giving is here! As 2021 draws to a close, we are all looking forward to spending time with family and friends, giving thanks and showing appreciation for all that we have. But it’s also a time to give back to our community. Many of you already share your time and talents with AACA, as volunteers, Board members, PSC members, or simply by lending an occasional helping hand. We are so grateful for you!
Today, we are asking for your help with a donation to our campus fundraising campaign. Thanks to the generous contributions of our community, we have surpassed our initial goal of funding a new playground, and we are ahead of schedule on funding the other items on our wish list! To enable us to build out the remaining items on our campus this school year, please consider making a tax-deductible gift by December 31, 2021. Fund a project in any portion that fits your budget. Every gift counts!
Simply go to our giving page to learn more about the campaign and ways you can support the AACA community this season. Thank you for your consideration, and happy holidays!

Local businesses, families, teachers, staff, and individuals worked together to raise over $23,000 for Almond Acres Charter Academy by hosting their, Wild, Wild West Drive-Through BBQ and Online Auction. The school, which will be breaking ground this fall for their new school facility in Paso Robles, will use the funds to benefit their Project Based Learning, STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics), and Athletics programs.
“We typically host an annual in-person auction, but due to COVID, we decided to switch gears and hold a smaller-scale fundraiser that was safe for everyone to participate,” said event coordinator, Jenn Phillips. “What we didn’t expect was the generosity of local businesses. We know this has been an incredibly difficult year for businesses, and we feel so honored that they wanted to support the students at Almond Acres in whatever capacity they could.”
The main sponsor for the event that took place on Oct. 3, was Roots on Railroad, an eatery that opened on 13th Street and Railroad earlier this year. Other top-level sponsors included The Backyard on Thirteenth, Engineered Power Solutions, G & H Autobody, The Partridge Family Olive Company, Mechanics Bank, and Tractor Supply Company, who hosted the event in their parking lot.
